The Chuck Beattie Band

Chuck Beattie is “One of the most dynamic, high-energy acts in music today” according to Washington, DC blues festival promoter ReaBop Music.  When you couple Beattie’s commanding voice with his guitar work, drums, bass and keyboards, you end up with a superb sound that does the slow burn to Chicago-style blues and boogie like 50 miles of hot Mississippi asphalt.

"Dr. Blues" has performed and lectured extensively, appearing at universities, festivals, corporate functions, and private parties, as well as clubs and other venues throughout the world, including his recent tour in the United Kingdom.

Long time jazz aficionado and blues historian Chuck Beattie fronts a five-piece Chicago-Style Blues band based in Western North Carolina. Beattie utilizes his knowledge of the blues and his jazz background to draw out the best of Chicago Style Blues. This Muddy Waters Rich music is a crowd pleaser at festivals, music halls, and clubs, and offers slow blues and hot danceable blues music.

A founding member of the North Carolina Jazz Ensemble, Chuck Beattie plays Chicago Blues with a passion, honesty and simplicity developed from the legacy of his gospel and rhythm and blues roots.

As one of the founding members of the Western North Carolina Blues Society, Chuck works tirelessly to promote all styles of traditional and contemporary blues throughout the wider regions of North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and beyond.

Having worked extensively in the USA, Chuck, backed by selected UK musicians, brought the house down in June 2003 headlining the 3rd Bury Blues Festival near Manchester England. During his long musical career, Chuck has shared the stage with the Kelly Brothers, Otis Clay, and Neenna Freelon, and lists the mighty Taj Mahal and the legendary Bo Diddley as some of his friends and associates.

From juke joints to ballrooms, The Chuck Beattie Band can turn your event into a Saturday Night House party no matter what night of the week it is.

Treat your patrons to the excitement of world-class musical entertainment!

"Chicago Style Blues with beefy vocals. A must for those who enjoy Muddy Waters, Taj Mahal, Keb' Mo', and Howlin Wolf"
